The program is filled with things to see and do!

Some of this year’s highlights include:

By day, Sovereign Hill will be filled with traditional carols, Christmas trees and colourful decorations. By night, Main Street will be transformed by the bright Winter Wonderlights exhibition.

  • Giant Slide + Snow Globe + Frozen Forest (1 – 30 July)

Snuggle up in your winter woollies and take a wander through the mythical forest, take a peek into the igloo haven and explore the other Antarctic wonders on offer in the CBD.

  • Ice Skating (1 – 16 July)

In the heart of the CBD, you’ll find a pop up ice skating rink that is guaranteed fun for the whole family. Sessions run for one hour and skaters should arrive 30 minutes prior to their start time.

  • Penguins at the Ballarat Wildlife Park (1-16 July)

The new permanent penguin exhibit is arriving just in time for the festival! Whilst you’re here, drop into our Bushman’s Hut to roast some marshmallows in one of the fire pits. Normal entry fees apply.

  • Knights of Fire (1 – 16, 22 – 23, 29 – 30 July)

Head on over to Kryal Castle to watch Sir Hector meet the Black Knight in a flaming joust battle to cure the icy heart of the Snow Queen. Held in the Main Arena; normal entry fees apply.
